Pecha Kucha Vol.26

On Monday 24th February we spoke at Creative Dundee’s quarterly event - Pecha Kucha!

Incase you don’t know, Pecha Kucha, or ‘chit-chat’ in Japanese, was first developed in Tokyo in 2003 by Klien Dytham Architecture and is a quick fire format of presentation. Each speaker shows 20 images for 20 seconds per image and they can choose whatever topic they would like to speak about.

Pecha Kucha’s now happen all over the world with Pecha Kucha Dundee being the largest regular evening in the UK!

We were really excited to be invited to speak at the event and decided that we would speak all about the hidden route rehearsal room - the community we strive to create and how that impacts the work we therefore make. We linked this idea to the notion of finding the perfect notebook - of course!

The evening was full of brilliant speakers talking about a whole host of topics from picking up your litter, to the power of uncertainty and even included an impromptu rap! It was such a vibrant event and a real testament to the exciting creative community that is thriving in Dundee. We felt very proud of our city and the people who live here and we can’t wait to attend the next event where we can relax and not be sat in a little ball of nerves all night.

Here’s the video of our talk!
